Have you ever helped someone else achieve a goal or better themselves? If so, how?

Think about a time you helped a friend or coworker achieve a goal, however big or small. You may have run a few miles with them each day in preparation for a 10k. You might have stayed up late at night reviewing flashcards for a big test with your best friend. Or, maybe you watched a family members' child for a couple of days to allow the parents to work on their goal of opening a new business. These types of scenarios work great to answer this question, especially if you're early on in your career and can't think of a professional example.

If you have a specific work-related example, even better. Give the interviewer a brief overview of the situation, and share how your help contributed to a friend or colleague's goal.

"I recently helped one of our newest employees when I noticed she was falling behind after the new-hire training was complete. After speaking with her, I learned that this was her very first job and she did not understand a lot of the nuances associated with our workflow. I took her under my wing for her first thirty days or so by checking in and answering any questions she had. I invited her to shadow certain meetings that were relevant to her professional interests. She's flourishing at the company now!"
