      What You Need to Know

The interviewer would like to get to know you apart from what is written on your resume. You are certainly not obligated to discuss personal matters such as your kids or relationship status, for instance. Stick with some fun facts to show the interviewer that you are a real person, too. Your answer should be unique so that you are a memorable candidate!

You could talk about a personal hobby or interest, a volunteer experience that was meaningful to you, or a challenge you overcame that helped shape who you are today. Just make sure it's appropriate for the workplace and relevant to the job you're applying for.

      2nd Answer Example

"Well, I'm quite the avid hiker. Whenever I have some free time, I love hitting the trails and exploring nature. It's a great way to clear my mind and recharge my batteries. Some of my favorite hikes have been in national parks like Yosemite and Zion. There's just something so peaceful and awe-inspiring about being surrounded by such natural beauty. This hobby helps me stay focused and energized, which will translate well into my work."
