"I currently work in a community pharmacy, so my day is usually very busy and I'm multitasking to complete different priorities. I typically answer the phones, enter in new prescription requests, work the pick-up window and sometimes handle the check-out process. Throughout the day, I'm also assisting customers with questions, updating patient information on the computer, follow-up with general practitioner offices to gather information and process prescriptions."
"In my current role, I have many various responsibilities. I perform and record clinical observations and vitals such as blood pressure, temperature, respirations, and pulse. I also discuss and share information with registered nurses on patients' conditions, behaviors, activities, and responses. As a nursing assistant, I also interact with patient families, providing updates when necessary and education on certain illnesses, diagnoses, or conditions. Lastly, I help answer patient call lights, provide care and assistance with ADLs, and ensure the privacy and safety of patients at all times."
