Your interviewer is interested in understanding the context surrounding your departure from your current or previous position, as well as your attitude toward your severance. Your response will provide them with insights into the type of professional relationship they can expect from you. Their target talent will have identified Maersk's career opportunities, values, or culture as a more suitable fit at this stage in their career.

"Well, it is complicated. The thing is, I love my job, my teams, and the company I work for. I feel like we are all very aligned. However, the company did recently go through a restructuring and rebranding after hiring a consultancy. Several departments merged. They didn't let anyone go, but the opportunities for advancement within the company shrank. So I have been working in the same department with the same teams now for a while. And while I love everyone I work with, and can do the work in my sleep, my desire for a challenge is being unsatisfied. So, after quite a bit of deliberating with my leaders, I decided it was time to move on. So, I gave open notice, helped distribute my responsibilities among the rest of my teams, and did all I could to set them up for success."
