"We looked more closely at the signage on the sales floors of our stores. We already had teams of artists at every location making unique signage for all of our products and displays. After looking at the entertainment business that shaped the childhoods of generations of people, we went more "puppet" with our signage. We challenged our artists to do their own more cartoonish signage. Each store had its own unique signage. We were already giving out stickers and prizes to the kids, who we consider the next generations of our customers. Now we were converting grown-ups by appealing to their inner child."
