"Our return on investment was off balance. I spent time with our team identifying the problem. We traced it back to our return on ad spending. The person responsible for our online advertising assured me that the ad platform was generating good results with our cost per click, but that didn't add up. Upon closer inspection, I realized many of those clicks were either accidental or did not result in further conversions. Also, our ads weren't landing with our target audience. I created a position dedicated to our online ad spending and recruited for it. They studied the analytics more closely and customized a flexible package. This increased our return on investment and lowered our ad spending."
