What do you like most about being a music therapist?

There are many aspects of being a music therapist that is appealing. You might enjoy working with a particular age group, improving cognitive and motor skills, or seeing a decrease in anxiety and depression in your clients through music. The interviewer wants to hear what you like most about your career to know why you are passionate about your job and determine if you will be a good fit for their organization.

"It's hard to choose just one thing that I like most about working as a music therapist since there are so many aspects of the job that I love. I guess what I like most is seeing the positive impact music has on my clients. I have typically worked with people with Alzheimer's, and it is amazing to see their faces light up with recognition when certain songs are played."
