There are many ways to get family members involved in patient treatment using music therapy. The first is to communicate with the family and explain the importance of their involvement and the goal for the patient. Explain how music therapy works and how they can incorporate it into their daily lives. When the family understands how they can help the patient by being involved, they will typically be more likely to participate. You can give suggestions to the family on how they can assist the patient in their treatment by making or purchasing musical instruments, playing music, singing and dancing with the patient, or watching music videos. The interviewer wants to hear your techniques to involve family members in your patient treatment plan.
