As reading admission applications will likely be a large part of your job, the interviewer wants to learn about how you approach each one and what stands out to you. Consider what you enjoy learning about each student and what stands out to you when you read hundreds of essays and letters.

"I tend to look first at the student's involvement in their community. I find the students who make the biggest impact on campus are those who are actively involved in extracurriculars. I enjoy reading applications from students with clear interests and passions. It makes me excited about admitting them and imagining all they would bring to the campus. I also look at their academic progress and performance and how they are described in their letter of recommendation. Each piece of the application is important to consider carefully."
