Strong communication skills are necessary for the workplace. The strongest organizations offer clear, concise, and transparent communication from the top down. When organizations communicate well, there is less room for errors, misunderstandings, and wasted time. The interviewer wants to hear that you understand the necessity for good communication and have the necessary skills to excel in this role.

"I am a strong communicator, both verbally and written. I take pride in my ability to write clearly and cohesively, and I often proofread and edit for others. I am receptive to both verbal and nonverbal communication; I can also read body language well. I understand the importance of good communication within an organization, and I take pride in my ability to communicate effectively with others."
