What would you do if a supervisor asked you to do something you considered unsafe?

Vodafone's Code of Conduct clearly states the commitment to safety: "We take safety extremely seriously in our operations. The Vodafone Absolute Rules on safety focus on risks that present the greatest potential for harm for anyone working for or on behalf of Vodafone. The Absolute Rules are clear and underpinned by a zero-tolerance approach to unsafe behaviours in all of our businesses. Keeping the people who work for us safe is one of our most fundamental responsibilities. Our commitment to safety does not differentiate between our own employees and contractors and our suppliers' employees and contractors. We insist on high safety practices from our employees, contractors and suppliers, and engaging with customers and peers."

Try to make your responses as structured and concise as possible. Avoid rambling or delivering roundabout answers. Vodafone's recruiters offer the following advice: "You can have the best example from a previous experience in the world, but if you don't communicate it properly, the impact could be lost. Structure your answer - we often recommend following the STAR technique: Situation, Task, Action, and Result to help you provide as much information to the interviewer as possible."

"I would respectfully decline. Performing unsafe behavior that violates the code of conduct won't win me any points, and refusing wouldn't be a cause for reprimand. I would decline and ask them if they commonly encouraged behavior that put their staff at risk."
