There are some things your resume cannot do. Showing off the characteristics of your personality and makeup is the aim here. As they say on the careers page on their website, "Being part of the Qantas team requires each of us to rise to different challenges. We work in a tough environment where we're often expected to achieve the impossible, supported by good leadership, trust, and respect. From our earliest days, people have been our priority; both the people who work for us and the people who travel with us." The keywords here are 'achieve the impossible,' 'leadership,' 'trust,' and 'respect.' Share with your interviewer the unique qualities you possess and explain how they'll nicely complement Qantas Airways.

I would use my ability to strike up a conversation and build a strong rapport with all guests. That is a unique trait I look forward to pursuing.

Alexandra's Feedback
Good answer! I suggest changing "pursuing" to "using" since this is a trait you already have! Maybe consider adding one or two more qualities here as well - this is an opportunity for you to tell them why they should hire you :)

There are many qualities that I would bring to QANTAS, but I would have to say my main one would be that I can make anyone's day go from bad to good. They could be having the worst day of their life, but I will change it around.

Rachelle's Feedback
Avoid 'burying the lead' when you answer. What I mean here is that it took over half the response to actually answer the question. You will notice the difference in my example, below. When you learn to answer more affirmatively, it makes a better impression on the interviewer and is another way to exude confidence :)
"I can make anyone's day go from bad to good. My customers could be having the worst day, but I will turn it around. I do this by being personal, friendly, and helpful."

I have the ability to empathize with others. I'm dependable and believe integrity is one of the most important qualities an individual can possess.

Amanda's Feedback
This question is an opportunity for you to share the characteristics or qualities you possess that align with those that the job description notes as requirements. Empathy, dependability, and integrity are qualities valued by virtually all employers. You can strengthen your answer by elaborating on how the skills you've listed have benefited your team, employer, or customers in a prior role.
