Every hotel chain performs some sort of background check and in this day and age, drug screenings are very common. The interviewer is trying to give you a heads up in case there is an issue that might prevent you from passing. If there is a problem, it is always best, to be honest, and forthcoming with the hiring manager. If there is no issue, then this question should be answered directly with confidence.
