It's important for a manager to be part of implementing a strategy and budget for the hotel they manage. The interviewer would like to know more about your exposure to the financial side of the hotel business. If you have experience in strategic planning, and budgeting, outline this for the hiring manager, including the size of the budget in which you have experience. If you do not have experience with budgeting or financial planning, think back to what you may have learned during your post-secondary education.
