In other words, if you say you're a good communicator in a way that's hard to understand or unconvincing, your interviewer is likely to decide you are not, in fact, a good communicator. On the other hand, if you deliver a well-crafted answer, it speaks to your communication ability.

"I'm a strong communicator, both verbally and in writing. I like to reflect on the message I want to send before speaking or writing to ensure how I convey something will be received the right way. I also try to stick to the main points when I'm first communicating something, leaving details out until I'm sure everyone is on the same page with the main idea."
