How do you handle situations that could cause you to be tardy or absent?

"I first take measures to eliminate situations that are within my control. I fill up my gas tank when I am heading home and never risk doing so on the way to work. I prepare my meals in advance, make sure all my laundry is attended to on the weekends, and other necessary tasks like that. But, when something unpredictable occurs and may potentially delay me from getting to work on time, the second I suspect there is a possibility of that, I call in to work to give them a heads-up. Then I offer continual updates until I am certain one way or the other."

As a part of a much larger operation, your decisions and time management skills stand to impact the productivity of those who rely on you to uphold a satisfactory performance standard. E. & J. Gallo even specifies that all their employees "must maintain satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness." This falls under the company's value of teamwork. "Collaborate with each other in search of the best possible result. Build strong and trustful relationships with each other." So describe the proactive measures you take to ensure you earn and maintain the trust of those you are working with.
