What do you think will be the focus of the aerospace industry 20 years from now?

Remember to dream big. Interviewers appreciate candidates willing to imagine a future that goes beyond what is currently possible today.

"I see the possibility for interplanetary travel in our future, and I think it will be a huge area of focus twenty years from now. We are on the cusp of major discoveries that will allow us to survive in space for longer periods. We are also moving toward discoveries that could allow us to travel distances we have not yet been able to achieve. I think BAE Systems plc has the potential to play a critical role in this area."

"I think we will be working to balance our use of human consciousness and artificial intelligence in greater and greater ways twenty years from now. We are at the beginning stages of understanding what that integrated world could look like now, and I think the aerospace industry will continue to make breakthroughs in this area for the next two decades."

"I feel the future of our planet and the aerospace industry are directly related. Specifically, I think we will be focused globally and within aerospace on the development of zero fuel technologies as well as the use of advanced materials that are environmentally responsible. Top aerospace and defense companies are currently focused on innovation in this area, and I think it will continue to be a focus for the foreseeable future."
