The first thing is to look at the standard and identify the expectations of the students. Next would be to find or develop a piece of exemplary work. Finally, the conversation would be to analyze the students' work and look for strengths and gaps. You can also evaluate achievement through common formative assessments, listening and probing for more information, common summarize assessments, benchmarks, and state assessments.

Primarily, by using two different methods. First by looking at and analyzing test data and second by looking at students' participation in other activities on campus. Students all learn in different ways.

I evaluate student success with data and evidence gathered on both formative and summative assessments. I also take into account how students report they are feeling about themselves as learners. To be a truly effective organization, schools need to look at student success and achievement through a whole-child approach that honors learning as a multi-faceted and continual process.
