"When conducting routine network analysis, the issues I focus on are related to fault identification, performance, provisioning, and maintaining the quality of service. I first examine the network performance metrics for the period of time to determine how many packets were lost or dropped, the speed of transmission, if there's any latency within the network, and other issues impacting its performance. I also review the hardware and software across the network to ensure it is up to date, has the latest patches, and that all the licenses are appropriate. Finally, I determine the network uptime, the average time it took to resolve an issue, and how well we supported the users. I compare these metrics to previous periods peers to determine if my team's and the network's performance is getting better, degrading, or stable."
