"I consider technical skills and customer service to be equally important components of my job. I recognize that the purpose behind the IT organization is to provide the business users with the resources they need to achieve their objectives. Maintaining an active network and optimizing its performance using my technical skills is only half the job. The other half is ensuring that the users are trained, can access the network effectively and efficiently, and have their issues resolved quickly by my team when they can't access the resources they need to do their jobs. It is not uncommon for my team or me to interrupt a technical task we're working on to deal with an end-user issue."
