While product specialists are not directly engaged in the sales and marketing process, they need to be involved in developing product characteristics and messaging to attract customers. Part of this is designing compelling features and benefits as well as an attractive user interface with their products. The other part is helping the marketing organization create messaging that accurately describes the product and makes it attractive to the target audience. Based on your experience, you should be able to easily describe how you go about achieving these objectives to the interviewer.

"There are several different techniques I use to make our products attractive to our target market and drive sales. These include incorporating user feedback into product innovations or new designs, ensuring that the way users engage with the product is intuitive, easy, and productive, and working with the marketing organization to appropriately target the product for the market. I also help them develop a communication strategy that will accurately describe the product's features and benefits. I work closely with our design and engineering teams to ensure that the product features are exactly what our customers expect."
