Our company makes products for both the general public and the B2B market. Can you describe some of the different characteristics products must have for each of these?

"I have worked for some organizations that have both end-user and business customers. Marketing similar products to both customer types is challenging but can be accomplished with some creativity, flexibility, and strategy. Sometimes you need to redesign a product so that it better fits the requirements of the customer. An example of this would be removing aesthetic features and adding ruggedization to consumer products intended for the industrial environment. Other alterations may include packaging, providing spare parts, and of course the sales and marketing techniques used to address each distinct market segment."
