As an MRI Technologist, you understand there are different types of MRI equipment utilized in medical imaging. The closed MRI machine is a cylindrical tube where the patient lies while the images are taken, while the open MRI machine is more comfortable for those who are claustrophobic. In addition, high-field MRI machines produce clearer images, while low-field MRI machines are less powerful but still effective for certain types of scans. Lastly, portable MRI machines can be brought directly to the patient, such as in emergency or military situations. The specific type of MRI equipment utilized depends on the patient's needs and the purpose of the scan, as each type has its advantages and disadvantages.

I am familiar with both the open and closed-bore MRI scanners although I am most experienced with the closed ones. I have also as a student experienced the use of extremity-dedicated machines but have only seen them used for the forearm. Which types of equipment do you have in this facility?
