Some may even take the chance to grab a quick snack or stretch their legs with a short walk. Downtime is an excellent opportunity for MRI techs to recharge and prepare for the next round of patients.

The interviewer wants to know how you stay busy when you have downtime. You must show that you can remain productive with little guidance. This is an opportunity to highlight your strong work ethic and commitment to team performance.

From experience, during downtimes, I take it as a time to help the team by checking on whoever needs help. I also maximize the time to read from books on the shelf or teach a student tech.
