The interviewer is assessing your enthusiasm for the job and your ability to connect with patients. As an MRI tech, it is essential to possess technical skills to operate the equipment and interpersonal skills that can make patients feel comfortable and at ease during what can be a stressful experience. By inquiring about what you enjoy most about working with patients, the interviewer can evaluate your ability to communicate effectively and offer compassionate care to those you collaborate with. They also want to be assured that you can work well with patients and maintain a positive attitude, even when the patient may be trying. Assure the interviewer that you have a genuine passion for patient care by describing your favorite part of patient care.

"Being an MRI Technologist is rewarding because I get to be a part of the entire treatment process for each patient. I am the one who prepares them for their exam; I provide instructions and an explanation of the procedure. I do my best to ease patients' anxiety before they are called into the exam room. I try to bring a sense of calm to them and stay in the room until the procedure is complete."
