Do you have reliable transportation?

An interviewer is not allowed to ask if you have a car, but they can ask if you have reliable transportation if that is required for the job. Often, reliable transportation is mentioned in the job requirement. The interviewer wants to know that you are responsible and will show up to your shifts on time. Explain what your mode of reliable transportation is.

"Right now, I am saving up for a car, but I use the city bus system to get around. The bus I take is always on time, and the bus stop is one block from my house. The bus brings me to the front door of your facility and runs every half hour. It is a reliable and inexpensive form of transportation for me."
