Think about your leadership style. Determine your approach and speak to its merits. Describe the methods you used to incentivize. The ability to promote a team member's strengths and avert exploiting weaknesses is integral to effective leadership. Their performance is a reflection of yours. An employee that has a general sense of accomplishment will be more effective at their job. Be universal in your approach, especially since there is no way of knowing the management style you'll be expected to use until you're onboarded.

"I'd analyze their performance daily, scrutinizing all KPIs, and check-in with those stores that have any red flags. I start with a friendly, personal check-in. Then I ask what they're working on and how they're progressing. I'd offer praise where appropriate and then offer suggestions when I feel they are needed. It's all about teamwork, meeting or exceeding our targets, and maintaining high morale and innovation. I'll visit the store, take that manager out to lunch, get a full picture of their numbers, and proceed accordingly with an action plan."
