"I believe my greatest and most unique quality is my ability to push myself out of my comfort zone and test my boundaries to build resilience, experience adventure, and learn new skills. Recently, I finished a year-long project of renovating a cargo van into a livable camper from which I can travel around the country and see places I've never seen before. I had never built anything in my life, so not only did I have to learn how to build the camper, I had to teach myself how to use the tools necessary to complete the job. I believe the Salvation Army seeks individuals who are willing to take risks and push themselves to contribute to positive community change. I am one of those individuals."

"Three years ago, I was in a corporate career that left me feeling empty. I had some money saved, so I left that position and spent a year traveling to different countries around the world in an attempt to discover what I truly wanted in life and from a career. I volunteered as I traveled, and along the way, I assisted people who had been the victims of severe natural disasters. This experience helped me realize my passion in life is to bring relief to those who are suffering and who may have lost everything. My firsthand experience working with clients that the Salvation Army would also help makes me uniquely qualified to fill this position."
