How do you envision ways in which this position may evolve over time?

"If I am hired as diversity, equity, and inclusion regional manager with the Salvation Army, it will my responsibility to develop and implement a comprehensive diversity plan across the United States Pacific region. As it is written in the current job description, the DEI Regional Manager meets with talent acquisition and human resources representatives to plot out the objectives and implementation strategies affecting the organization's employees. In the future, I envision this position evolving to include investigating ways that DEI strategies can improve our programs and services in order to honor the organization's mission to help everyone without discrimination."

"The position description for the rehousing project coordinator emphasizes the importance of properly processing client information, managing records, and responding to assistance inquiries in a timely manner. When I worked in a similar role helping families find places to live, I was required to follow up with clients three, six, and nine months after permanent housing had been secured. This procedure allowed us to examine the impact of our program and see if there were any changes that should be made. I believe this model could potentially work well with the coordinator position and enhance the Salvation Army's efforts to positively impact the lives of those in need."

Be ambitious but practical. Make sure your vision supports or enhances the mission of the Salvation Army.
