"As an experienced social media manager, one of the most common challenges is deciding when and how to respond to someone saying something negative online about your organization. When this happens, I first read the comment and determine how the individual is connected to the organization. How I respond publicly reflects on the organization, so I am professional in all of my online interactions. Then, I reach out to the individual and invite them to elaborate on the situation. If I am able to address the concern myself, I do so. If not, I direct them to a staff person who might be able to provide further assistance if necessary."

When I face a client who is at their wits' end because of severe financial difficulty, I have to maintain my composure and help them feel at ease. This is not an easy task as people can become volatile when they find themselves in vulnerable circumstances.
