"A while back, I was at a restaurant where the server seemed incredibly unhappy. She asked me if I wanted pepper, and I said yes. She aggressively cranked the pepper grinder, and it broke and spilled peppercorns all over my plate. She looked at me angrily, said, 'now look what you've done,' and took my plate away. I waited another 45 minutes for my food before we just asked for the check and decided to leave. I'm not sure what was happening behind the scenes there, but she was clearly unhappy. I don't know if it was her job or something else, but I wasn't going to add fuel to the fire. If she didn't like her job, it showed, but her attitude made her situation so much worse. It's unfortunate. But, on the upside, 'now look what you've done' has become a family inside joke."

How you present your example could potentially offer insights into your professional level of experience and your attitude towards daily life, i.e., if you see the glass as half empty or half-full. Not only are they interested in what your answer will say about the customer service they can expect from you, but it may also inform them of your interpersonal skills.
When delivering your example, present the situation with emotional intelligence, empathy, and an understanding of what good customer service looks like. Avoid displaying yourself as a victim of a bad experience or possessing an elitist attitude.
