How do you check your work for accuracy?
The interviewer wants to hear that you are detail-oriented when checking your work. Most people have to develop tricks or systems to cross-check and ensure their work quality meets or exceeds expectations unless they have a photographic memory. Your attention to detail speaks to your work ethic and how seriously you take your career. Someone without tips, tricks, or systems will come across as aiming for the bare minimum and performing inconsistently. Explain the steps you take to ensure the quality of your work is of the highest standard.
"I take pride in any work with my name attached to it and therefore always review my work before I submit it. Whether typing an email or handling cash, I check my work twice and sometimes even ask a co-worker to review it first. Being detail oriented and thorough are two of my greatest skill sets."
"I proof my work before sending it out and double-check everything. I'll use a calculator when necessary and ask for help if I am unsure of my accuracy."
