"When I learn something new, I always seek feedback. I've always been wary of presumption, which can often lead to rework. I find rework discouraging, and I pride myself on being proactive in my work and having a positive outlook. I try to strike a balance. I don't just limit external input to one person, either. Everyone has something different to offer, and the more resources I can tap into, the better my work will be."

How you respond to feedback, constructive or negative, indicates whether you are easily offended or take feedback in stride, applying it towards your professional growth. The interviewer wants to know if you take responsibility for your actions or are quick to re-assign blame. Not everyone communicates the same, yet everyone requires empathy. This includes an employee empathizing with a supervisor who is not looking forward to delivering feedback. A good supervisor should be skilled in not internalizing someone else's reactions to the critique, but not every supervisor is adept at this. When someone delivers negative feedback in an unprofessional manner, it is a reflection of their mood or outlook, and not you. However, you are responsible for your reactions. Show the interviewer that you have a desire to grow professionally.
