We strive to help our employees create a healthy work/life balance at Red Bull. How do you balance life and work?
Red Bull cares about its employees' well-being and strives to promote a sense of community within the workplace. But even in a healthy work culture, it can be challenging to balance your work with the rest of your life. Happy, healthy workers do their job most effectively, which is why your interviewer wants to get a better sense of the strategies you have in place to achieve balance.
"I am methodical about my work and my schedule. I set reminders on my calendar to stay organized and on time, relying on my Google calendar and my to-do list so that I am able to leave work at the end of the day knowing that I completed everything I wanted to complete. This way, I am able to leave work with a sense of satisfaction and be fully present in the activities I enjoy outside of work."
"I find that with the right company, it's pretty simple to balance life and work. When I enjoy what I do, the work doesn't feel like a chore. I am always sure that when at home, my family gets my attention first. I take time on the weekends to do things for myself and ensure that I recharge before the work week begins."
Explain how you balance work and life in your current or past roles. It's okay to show that you have a life outside of work! Feel free to share the habits you've developed that allow you to effectively balance your job and your life outside of work.

Exercise and time outdoors are really important to me. I feel like I can recharge my batteries after going for a bike ride or a hike.
I also really love any work- social events, sports events; for example, in my old job we had a basketball team where all of us played together once a week, and it was a great way to brush off the cobwebs, exercise, and bond with colleagues at the same time.

I feel that the work is demanding but satisfying than the job is not a chore- I do think it is important when not at work to spend time with those closest and find activities such as Yoga a great way to share mutual interests.
Marcie's Feedback
Nice! Other things you can mention here include setting boundaries, taking breaks, learning to say no, unplugging when you're not at work, and scheduling times for exercise, leisure, and vacations. Finally, end your answer by reminding the interviewer that you recognize the importance of living a balanced life and strive to do that so you remain energetic, enthusiastic, and excited at work. Good job!
