Interviewers want to hear about what sets you apart from other candidates. This question is your opportunity to tie it all together for them by highlighting your career goals, most relevant experience, and the personal motivation you have to work in this role.

Think of your answer as your 'elevator pitch' or your qualifying statement to seal the deal. If the interviewer asks this question towards the end, focus on the most salient features of your application rather than bringing in new pieces of information.

Ask a few friends or family members what they feel sets you apart if you can't think of unique traits. Their observations may help you understand how you are perceived. If you already have a clear idea of what sets you apart, share that information confidently. Remember that in an interview, you are your most influential advocate.

"I'm eager to enter the workforce and demonstrate my value to the organization. I have completed my degree program and an internship with a competitor, so I'm ready to put my knowledge to use and contribute to the success of the organization. I'm reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about learning and growing, and I will be a committed employee who hopes to remain with the organization for the next several years."

"You mentioned that you were struggling with employee retention on (XYZ) team. I have an incredible onboarding strategy that took my current company from a 35% turnover rate to just 5% in twelve months. I will turn this pain point around for you."

"I have over a dozen years of experience in the CPG industry. I have a proven track record of success at the various companies I've worked for and will bring that knowledge with me. I also offer creative solutions to position your department against the competition and ideas that will help elevate your business to the next level."
