I think it's all about putting people in a comfortable place where they can get into the right mindset to contribute their ideas. An example is the monthly newsletter Innovation Times I started to highlight innovative startups, interesting tech articles, and sustainability topics of the month. The goal of that was to get people's creative juices going and provide feedback to the CI team.
