Tell me about the last time someone challenged your direction with a different perspective.

HSBC advertises that they value diverse opinions, recognizing how unique perspective contribute to innovation and greater success for the company. So this question focuses on your emotional intelligence, and how receptive you are to feedback. How you answer this question will offer insights into your leadership style, and whether you are focused on the development and success of your teams.

Let the way HSBC puts it guide your answer. "We value difference. We were born speaking different languages. We were founded on the strength of different experiences, attributes and voices; they are integral to who we are and how we work. The greater our empathy and diversity, the better we reflect the worlds of our customers and communities - and the better we can serve them. So we champion inclusivity. We listen. We remove barriers. And we seek out views different from our own."

Remember, the body language and facial expressions you want to maintain are relaxed and confident. When confused or concentrating, we tend to furrow our brow or redirect our gaze. However, this could easily be misinterpreted by the assistive AI technology. So practice relaxing your brow and widening your eyes. Tilt your head slightly and nod slowly. Speak softly and with ease.
