First of all, I know the retail business. I worked as an IT Security Manager for more or less 7 years in Migros, Turkey. My team and I managed a huge distributed network including almost 2,500 physical stores, online stores, storehouses, data centers (on-prem and cloud), etc.
Retail business is fast-paced and cost conscious is important. Availability and accessibility have a huge impact on customer loyalty. I am a creative, fast learner, problem solver, analytical thinker, and a decision-maker. I am able to take risks. In my opinion, those skills are essential while working in retail. Also, retail is an entertaining business. I love working in the retail industry.
