"In one of my reviews, I received feedback that I didn't delegate enough and therefore, it made it seem like I didn't trust my colleagues. I really took that feedback to heart. I took a look at my work load, which was really high, and made some priority buckets. There was one bucket of work that was very low risk and I distributed it to my team. One team member did a really great job so I was able to give her some of the more complex projects."

"I received feedback that everybody knows what I am thinking from my nonverbal expressions, especially in meetings. That was really tough feedback to hear. That entire next year, I worked very hard to ensure my facial expressions were positive and neutral versus worried or anxious, no matter what the content of the meetings were about. It was a tough exercise, but I'm glad I received the feedback or I would not have known this."

"When I volunteered, my volunteer director conducted 360 feedbacks so I was rated by my supervisor, the volunteer coordinator, my peers and even some of our clients. In my last appraisal, I received a rating of exceeds expectations, so I'm really proud of that. I was recognized for my communication skills, willingness to be a team player and my reliability."
