I read the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People during my administrative program along with other Stephen Covey books. My leadership team is doing a book study currently on this book in preparation for facilitating a book study next year for our entire staff. There are 7 habits that fall into three categories: dependence, independence, and interdependence. The goal of course is interdependence. Within the first phase are the most important habits: be proactive, begin with the end in mind, and put first things first. It is important to help people understand themselves before moving forward.
