"I certainly do not regret the direction I have taken my career; however, if I had to completely start over in a new direction I would likely pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering and become an Engineer. Both of my parents were Engineers and they seemed to have a very fulfilling career. I enjoy analytics and research which I tend to do a lot of in my role as an educator. There is a free online course about Mechanical Engineering that I hope to enroll in soon."

I don't regret the direction my career has taken, but if I had to do it all over again, I would have gotten my Ph.D. before starting a family. Being in education for over 27 years and 7 of that in management, I see that there are more possibilities higher up in management if you have earned a Ph.D.
Marcie's Feedback
Nice! It's great that you are happy with the direction your career has gone, but your logic regarding a Ph.D. definitely makes sense too. Any interviewer will understand your reasoning here. Good answer!
