One way that a potential employer will gauge 'fit' is by ensuring that you are passionate about their particular industry. Staying up-to-date in the industry depends on the position that you will be interviewing for. It could be the restaurant and foodservice industry, or it could be the software and technology industry. In either case, show the interviewer that you are passionate about your industry by openly discussing how you stay on top of industry trends. This can include any publications you subscribe to, any associations you belong to, or any additional training opportunities you take advantage of. However you answer this question, make sure that your interviewer walks away from your time together knowing that you put in the extra time to stay up-to-date on your line of work.
