Whether it was from a customer, a client, a colleague, or a manager, we have all received negative feedback on our work, and your interviewer wants to hear that you can be open and honest about that situation. More importantly, they will want to hear that you can process that negative feedback and turn it into your benefit to improve your work. Before your interview, think about a time you received criticism in your work and paint the picture for your interviewer as you answer. End your answer by talking about what you learned from that situation that you will bring to this role at Doordash.

"To me, feedback from customers and colleagues is vital in helping me improve the work that I do daily. I welcome it by encouraging others to give me any type of feedback that they may have. Early in my career, I was criticized for using a negative tone with a customer over the phone. Immediately, I regretted taking that tone with an upset customer who was taking their frustration out on me. In a situation like that now, I use my reflective listening skills to calmly repeat back what they say and then promise I will help them find a solution."
