"I am proud not only of how far I've come in my career but how I've gotten here. I've worked with a lot of people I considered friends, but they were disliked by others due to their tactics to get ahead. They'd often point out others' mistakes to make themselves look better and did nothing to help them. They'd try to take credit for other people's achievements. Some of them advanced and have done well for themselves. But I've gotten as far as I have by helping my fellow team members succeed on their own merits, not looking for anything more than knowing I've helped a friend pursue their goals and better the team. My greatest accomplishment is coming as far as I have by helping the team, keeping my eye on the big picture, all while guided by my integrity alone."

How you answer will speak to whether you consider success crossing daily items off your list and putting in a typical day's work or if you keep your eye on the big picture and scale your sense of accomplishment on the incremental successes toward your ultimate goals. Those goals can range from completing a project to hitting a major milestone in your career plan. Before answering this question, consider what success means to you in terms of your short-term goals, long-term goals, and the big picture and the planning you put into attaining success.
This question aims to gain insights into your personality that will help them assess how your motivation influences your work ethic, career goals, and how you'd fit into the culture of their brand. Additionally, the assessment vendor and recruiter will also gauge your level of honesty, looking for any signs of exaggeration in how you present your answers, such as when your words are inconsistent with your answers. Telling them what you think they want to hear will come across as disingenuous and, more often than not, can be spotted from a mile away. So speak from the heart.
