Research is a large part of how strategy is developed. The interviewer is asking this to see what types of different research you have performed in the past.
I would focus on the research experience that you have the most experience in and a couple that you lack. If you have more experience in creating surveys for quantitative research and less on focus groups then make sure to share that.
I would avoid focusing too much on the research experience that you have the least experience in. Of course, you want to share where you have the least experience but focus more on what you DO have experience in versus what you don't.
"I have experience in both qualitative and quantitative research experience. Although I mainly work with researchers, I like to be a part of developing the different types of research we are going to focus on and which direction it is headed. Being a part of research helps me strategize and implement my plan to deliver the scope to the client."
