The interviewer wants to know how you plan to step into the role. They want to determine if you have the experience and knowledge to hit the ground running or if there will be a big learning curve and the need for lots of handholding. "For me, one of the very first things I would do is educate myself thoroughly about the products and services your company offers and who your customers are. Before starting the job, I would research your company online as much as I could by perusing your website and reading content you had already published, and then once I started I would talk to my new colleagues and manager in order to learn more and to get to know them. Next, I'd learn all I could about the existing content strategy and start to develop my own ideas and plan for moving forward."
