It's likely the interviewer believes you are capable of producing good websitecontent, but with this question, they want to know how you plan to quantitatively prove its effectiveness. They are looking for you to talk about data analytics. You will want to mention analytics tools that you know how to use, as well as the metrics that you feel are important to track in order to tell if your content is properly attracting and retaining customers, building the brand's reputation, and helping with search engine optimization (SEO).
"I have always loved to write so producing content isn't a problem for me personally, and I also excel at leading teams in creating great content as well. But while it's easy to generate content, the real questions revolve around whether or not it is attracting new customers, retaining and engaging existing ones, building the company's reputation and brand loyalty, and furthering SEO objectives. These questions can quantitatively be answered through the use of data analytics. Within my current role, I use Google Analytics to track metrics like bounce rate, pages per session, click-through rates, exit rates, returning visitors, goal conversions, and more. All of these stats, and many others, assist me in determining the effectiveness of my content and where I need to make adjustments."
