"Education has been my pure passion ever since I started my first teaching job in 2004. There are endless ways to educate another person, so I would describe my teaching style as fluid. I will adapt to the needs of my student as much as possible. Being an active listener of words and body language is a vital part of my teaching style. My students consistently send me accolades for my work, and I often hear from them even after they have completed my class."

I am passionate about each of my students experiencing their "Ah-ha" moments. In order to be an effective teacher, I get to know my students' strengths and weaknesses and then combine my teaching styles to bring out what they are good at doing and to practice skills that I demonstrate to them. I combine my teaching styles to accommodate my students' needs. I use hands-on activities as well as brief traditional lectures to provide facts and explain why we are learning what we are learning. This method makes student learning relevant and encourages them to learn. During our first lessons, I make it clear to my students that I am a lifelong learner and that I learn from them every day. I also persuade and support my students to practice their problem-solving and communication skills.
Marcie's Feedback
Your answer is strong and thorough, but consider mentioning the type of teaching style you ascribe to (authoritative, delegative, facilitative, demonstrative, hybrid) and why. It's wonderful that you uncover your students' strengths and weaknesses so you can adjust your teaching methods to whatever is best for them. Nice job!
