Sales are the ultimate barometer for measuring the success of a product. No matter how well the product is designed and manufactured, it isn't successful if it doesn't sell. The responsibilities of a Tesla product specialist extend beyond just the design and production of a product. You must work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure that the product meets the needs of Tesla's customers, is priced competitively, and is distributed appropriately. You should be able to provide the Tesla interviewer with several examples of how you contributed to increasing the sales of products, including recommending some product improvements.

"There've been numerous occasions when I've suggested product improvements that I believed would increase the sales of our products. The majority of these were based on customer feedback and suggestions. As a product specialist, I try not to fall in love with my products. I try to remain open to criticism and product reviews that will help me increase the product's functionality and therefore boost sales. A recent example of this was when I suggested changing the color of the case we used to protect the product to make it more distinctive. This, coupled with updated packaging, increased the sales of the product by 20%."
