      1st Answer Example

"In my previous sales position, we worked closely with a small business that was seeking a host of solutions to address problems that they were having as a company, including increasing customer retention and employee efficiency. While they knew that they needed various solutions, they weren't exactly sure what they were looking for. As the sales lead for this team, I quickly set up a round of meetings where we combed through each of their pain points, ensuring that I took detailed notes and asked good questions that got to the heart of what their most pressing challenges were. I analyzed the findings from these meetings to create a detailed proposal for the business that included a package of six products and services that we could provide to the company to improve their efficiency and customer retention. They bought the package and saw customer retention increase by 20% and efficiency by 40% by the end of the fiscal year."

      2nd Answer Example

"For example: "I worked for a financial advisory firm last year and had a client who was looking for investment recommendations. I gathered data on the stocks they were interested in, sorting through trends and historical data to determine the most promising returns. Using in-house software, I plugged in various variables related to the client's age, target retirement, and risk tolerance, among others. I shared the various possible outcomes with my client, which allowed me to make a well-informed recommendation about the best stock options to meet his financial goals."
